Our chapter is very active in Safety, Education, Legislation AND FUN! Take a look at some of the great runs, rides and parties ahead:

Cabin Fever Party: What a great excuse to have some fun in January after the holidays. With good food, friends and music, we celebrate the year to come and dance the night away. This is one party you don't want to miss! Only ABATE members (and guest) may attend. Don't worry, you can join at the door.

Bowling Party: Have you ever seen a bunch of bikers “Crazy Bowling”? It's a picture you won't soon forget! The only thing more fun than watching is bowling with everyone. The price for admission includes the games, bowling shoes, and pizza.

Annual Triathlon: Gym-rats need not apply to this athletic event. Our games consist of pool, darts and bean bag games. Teams of two compete against each other in single elimination --winners are named in each category and awarded cash prizes. There is a minimal cost for registration and prizes are based on the number of people playing. This fun filled Sunday afternoon is held before perfect riding weather arrives, usually in March.

The Book Run: Looking for somewhere NEW to ride? Join the Book Run! Books can be purchased at any of the 40+ Establishments featured in the book. You have from April to October to visit them and get your book stamped. Turn in your book at the October WillCo ABATE meeting to qualify for cash and other prizes. Prizes are awarded at the End-of-the-Run party later in October. You must buy a book to get a ticket to the party. You do not have to be an ABATE member to participate but we hope you have so much fun you'll want to join!

Hooters and Scooters: Our biggest single day event! Starting at the Harwood Post in Joliet, this run includes a great ride and adult entertainment ending at the Silver Slipper. Everyone must be 21 or older to participate in this run. Mark your calendars --the Saturday after Labor Day every year, rain or shine!

In addition to all of these events we also meet for monthly Dinner Runs throughout the summer. There is no charge to participate, everyone pays for their own meal/drinks. The dinner location and where to start from are announced at the meetings or on the WillCo Yahoo Group message board. These informal runs are usually held once a month from April through October. This year, some dinner runs are planned on the weekend and some during the week. The Activities Coordinators are always looking to members for ideas of places to go.

Turkey Crawl: Instead of fighting the shopping crowds the weekend after Thanksgiving, join us for the Turkey Pub Crawl held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. For some this is the last-riding-hoorah of the year no matter how many layers of leather it takes! Everyone is welcome to this last event before the holidays -- no matter if you're on two wheels or four.

We compete with and support our neighboring chapters through flag events such as the Helmet Roast weekend camping event (South Suburban ABATE). What better excuse to get together and ride somewhere!
