"Capture the Flag"
Region Chapter Event Attendance Award

Purpose: To promote increased attendance at events sponsored by
chapters in the Northeast Region of A.B.AT.E. of Illinois.
Concept: The chapter with the highest attendance at designated "Flag Events" takes home the flag. At the end of the year, the chapter that has "captured" the flag the most times keeps the flag.

Rules:

Certain chapter events will be designated as Northeast Region "Flag Events".
Each chapter may propose one event as a "Flag Event".
At these "Flag Events", the chapter with the highest attendance will "win" the flag.
Only chapters in the Northeast Region of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois are eligible.
The sponsoring chapter for the event is not eligible to win the flag at that event, except when no other chapter from the Northeast Region attends that event.
If no other chapter from the Northeast region attends a Flag Event, the sponsoring chapter wins the flag for that event.
In the case of a tie, the chapter with the fewer total number of members will win.
The chapter that "wins" the flag at an event keeps the flag only until the next designated "Flag Event".
The winning chapter must bring the flag to the next scheduled "Flag Event".
If the winning chapter is unable to send one of their members to the next scheduled "Flag Event" with the flag, that chapter must make other arrangements to
have the flag brought to the event.
The event sponsoring chapter is responsible for:
a) setting out a chapter sign-up sheet, and
b) providing time during the event to announce the sign-up and to award the flag.
When a chapter wins the flag, that chapter's name is written on the flag, along with the event name and date.
At the end of the year, the chapter that has won the flag the most times gets to keep the flag permanently.
In the case of a tie at the end of the year, the chapter with the fewer total number of members wins.
Total number of chapter members, for use in a tie-breaker, will be
based on the chapter membership as recorded by the A.B.AT.E. of Illinois state office at the time of the event, or at the end of the year in the case of a year-end tie.
